The story of Gaston the Burgundian Snail.
In November 2013 as part of an exercise intended for his apprentice, Hervé Bégin, a locksmith & metalworker from Is-sur-Tille (Côte-d’Or) created Gaston l’Escargot Bourguignon, from a blade of skillfully worked steel pierced on the top with a hole.
The result was a functional object, but when Véronique, his wife saw the finished snail she had the great idea of using the hole on top to place a candle.
Solid, resistant, refined and stylish, Gaston now finds a home in all sorts of places, in the home, in the office, or even in the garden.
