“Le Cercle d’Escrime Beaunois”, an association under the 1901 law, was founded in 1981 by sports fencing enthusiasts. It is affiliated with the French Fencing Federation.
Initially reserved for a few experienced fencers, the CEB gradually opened its doors to all members of the public.
Since September 2022, the CEB has welcomed children from as young as 4 years old for “fencing awareness” sessions and also offers “artistic and entertainment fencing” courses. Fencing lessons, whether sporting or artistic, are taught by state-certified professionals.
